STARDATES
We need theme-type retirement homes.
For me, of course, it would be Star Trek. In my future dementia state, I'll be happily sweeping the floor of Ten Forward, wearing my little ensign uniform. Or heck, why not become bartender? Metamucil-infused virgin margarita anyone?
Maybe later I'd garden or practice tai chi in the holodeck.
Serious possibilities here.
And how fun for family to visit? The home could provide costumes and uniforms! I bet frequent visitors would even invest in their own appropriate-to-scene attire. Instead of, "Ah, again? I love grandma and all, but she's lost her marbles!" kids would be, "No fair. Johnny was Gorn last time! My turn!"
Residents would be content and compliant, getting body-scanned and taking their meds in sick bay -- possibly even assuming roles on the ship itself, keeping things smooth-running. Maybe there'd be an assigned schedule for Bridge shifts -- Captain's Chair. Just imagine all the former motorhome codgers out there, now pressing buttons and maintaining warp speed.
The franchise possibilities here are endless: Potter's Estates. Hobbit Hills.

The Hunger Years.
Admittedly, that last needs work -- could end poorly. But you get the idea.
So if someone with money could please hear my pitch, I'd be mightily appreciative.
